(PatriotNews.net) – Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign are catching heat after making fun of former President Donald Trump for ending a town hall early when two audience members had medical emergencies. Trump was speaking at a town hall in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on Monday evening when the first person fainted about 30 minutes into the event, according to a local ABC News report. That individual had to be carried out on a stretcher. Not long after, a second person fainted in the crowd.
Trump quickly paused the event to make sure both individuals got medical help. Reports suggested the indoor venue might have been too warm, as doors couldn’t be opened for security reasons. Trump has faced multiple assassination attempts, so strict security measures were in place.
After the second incident, Trump decided to wrap up the Q&A part of the town hall, saying he’d rather relax with the crowd than continue with more questions. “Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music,” Trump told his supporters. “Who the hell wants to hear questions, right?”
Despite criticism from the Harris campaign, video from the event showed many attendees staying to enjoy the music. They didn’t seem upset by the change in schedule.
However, the Harris campaign took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to mock Trump’s reaction. “Trump appears lost, confused, and frozen on stage as multiple songs play for 30+ minutes and the crowd pours out of the venue early,” they posted. Harris joined in with a sarcastic comment from her account, writing: “Hope he’s okay.”
A spokesperson for Harris, Ian Sams, also criticized Trump, saying the former president gave “no explanation” for ending the formal part of the event.
The Trump campaign quickly fired back. “In the real world, what happened is that President Trump spent time with his supporters after making sure those needing medical attention were cared for.” They added, “The more Kamala’s interns see her poll numbers, the more desperate and pathetic their lies become.”
To further push back, the Trump team shared a video clip from ABC News, calling out the Harris campaign’s remarks as misleading.
