J6 Committee Accused of Suppressing Details Favoring Trump

(PatriotNews.net) – The Jan. 6 Committee is under fire for allegedly holding back information that favored Trump. A “hidden transcript” just came out, revealing that the committee supposedly denied knowing about Trump’s request for National Guard help.

In 2023, a group of voters from Colorado filed a lawsuit, arguing that Trump should be disqualified from seeking political office because of a provision dating back to the Civil War era. They contended that Trump’s actions during the January 6, 2021 Capitol breach violated a clause in the 14th Amendment, which prohibits individuals who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the Constitution from holding political office.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, a Georgia Republican, called out the committee, saying they hid witness Anthony Ornato’s testimony. Ornato spilled the beans, confirming that Trump did offer 10,000 National Guard troops, but they got turned down.

Loudermilk released Ornato’s transcript, following Mollie Hemingway’s report. Hemingway claimed that the committee buried evidence showing the Trump administration wanted 10,000 troops. Ornato, who used to work in the Secret Service, disclosed this in his interview with the committee earlier this year. But the committee brushed it off.

According to Ornato, the Trump team was on the ball. They wanted to make sure D.C. was safe ahead of Jan. 6. But Muriel Bowser, the D.C. mayor, wasn’t into the offer. She only asked for a small squad of National Guard members, without weapons.

Ornato said the White House then asked for a “quick reaction force” at Joint Base Andrews, just in case. Meadows, the White House Chief of Staff, made sure things were in motion, Ornato claimed.

The committee’s been taking heat. Loudermilk slammed them for hiding Ornato’s testimony. He’s leading a probe into how the Jan. 6 committee handled things. According to Loudermilk, they’re keeping stuff under wraps to fit their story.

Hemingway’s report adds fuel to the fire. She says the Jan. 6 Committee buried evidence that Trump wanted the Guard. Ornato’s interview, kept in the dark until now, proves otherwise.
