Rep. Schiff Robbed in San Francisco

(PatriotNews.net) – San Francisco served up a not-so-warm welcome for Senate candidate Rep. Adam Schiff, who got his bags swiped from his car just before a posh campaign dinner at Fang restaurant. Schiff had to attend the event in his shirt sleeves and a hiking vest while everyone else was decked out in suits.

Schiff shared his excitement about dining at Fang Restaurant in San Francisco on X, previously known as Twitter. He mentioned meeting Peter and Kathy Fang, the father-daughter duo responsible for the great meal. Schiff noted that the Fang family has been running the restaurant since 1988 and confirmed that they serve exceptional vegetable dumplings.

Schiff also managed to thank his supporter, attorney Joe Cotchett, with a smile on his face.

Cotchett was impressed by Schiff’s cool demeanor, predicting he’d shake up the Senate if elected. Quite the endorsement!

During the recent primary election, Schiff surpassed two other notable Democrats, Rep. Katie Porter and Bay Area Rep. Barbara Lee. Now, he’s gearing up to compete against Republican Steve Garvey, a former Major League Baseball star making his debut in politics, in the upcoming November general election.

Schiff, hailing from Burbank, has ties to the Bay Area, having gone to Monte Vista High School in Danville.

Despite the news about Schiff’s stolen luggage, vehicle property thefts in San Francisco have actually dropped by nearly 50% compared to this time last year, according to crime data from the San Francisco Police Department.

This car burglary news comes hot on the heels of a security guard tussle with San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan’s entourage downtown. Seems like the Bay Area‘s got a few kinks to iron out in the safety department.

And while San Francisco Mayor London Breed has plans to clean up the city, Schiff’s experience shows there’s still some work to be done.
