(PatriotNews.net) – With just days left before the 2024 presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris is facing backlash over remarks comparing former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. One of the loudest voices criticizing Harris is 94-year-old Jerry Wartski, a Holocaust survivor and former Auschwitz prisoner.
“I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know,” Wartski said in a new Trump campaign ad released Friday. “For her to compare President Trump to that monster—it’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard in my 75 years living in the United States.”
Wartski praised Trump as a “mensch,” a Yiddish word meaning someone with honor and integrity, adding that Trump “has always stood with the Jewish people and Israel.” He also demanded an apology from Harris. “She owes my parents and everyone murdered by Hitler an apology,” Wartski said.
The controversy erupted after Harris made repeated comments throughout the week comparing Trump’s leadership style to that of Hitler. During a CNN town hall and in social media posts, Harris accused Trump of seeking “unchecked power” and claimed he admires dictators like Kim Jong Un.
“Donald Trump is unhinged,” Harris posted on X. “He wants generals who will be loyal to him, just like Hitler’s were, instead of loyal to our Constitution.”
Her comments come in the wake of reports from former Trump administration officials, including ex-Chief of Staff John Kelly, who allegedly said Trump praised Hitler’s leadership style during private meetings. According to the reports, Trump admired the loyalty Hitler commanded from his military officers.
Trump and Harris are currently in the final stretch of a heated election campaign. While Harris has doubled down on her warnings about Trump’s behavior, the former president fired back, calling her comments ridiculous. “Kamala Harris knows that none of this is true,” Wartski insisted in the campaign ad.
The Harris campaign has yet to respond to requests for comment on the ad. Meanwhile, Trump continues to highlight the issue, criticizing Harris for trying to score political points with comparisons to one of history’s most notorious dictators.
The stakes remain high, with both candidates focused on swaying undecided voters ahead of Election Day.
