(PatriotNews.net) – Actor Michael Keaton, known for his roles in Batman and Beetlejuice, has taken aim at supporters of former President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. In a recent Instagram post, Keaton criticized fans of the two men, claiming that neither Trump nor Musk respects the people who support them.
In the short video, Keaton expressed his disbelief that so many Americans are backing Trump and Musk, who have been campaigning together in Pennsylvania. “For some of you folks – mostly guys, I guess – thinking about attending a rally with Musk and Trump, just know: they don’t respect you. They laugh at you behind your back. They think you’re stupid,” Keaton said.
He went on to argue that the two figures don’t relate to their supporters. “They don’t want to hang out with you. They have nothing in common with you. They’re not your bros,” Keaton added.
The 73-year-old actor referenced a controversial comment Trump made years ago to illustrate his point. “Remember when Trump said, ‘I could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue, and they’d still vote for me’? What he was really saying was, ‘These people are so dumb, they’d still vote for me.’” Keaton ended his message by urging people to reconsider their support. “They have no respect for you, trust me.”
Musk, who endorsed Trump this past summer, has been actively campaigning for the former president’s 2024 run. On October 5, Musk joined Trump on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, telling the crowd that American freedoms were at risk if Trump didn’t win. Musk later echoed this sentiment during a town hall event in Pittsburgh, calling the 2024 election a “must-win” for free speech.
Keaton, who grew up in Pittsburgh, has been vocal about his opposition to Trump throughout this election season. On Instagram, he’s shared clips from news sources calling Trump a “fascist” and warning that his economic policies could hurt American families.
Keaton also attended a Harris-Walz rally and Steelers watch party in Pittsburgh last month, where he showed support for the Democratic ticket. In a recent campaign ad aimed at Pennsylvania voters, Keaton warned, “If Trump wins, I’ll probably be okay. But the middle class? Not so much. And young people? Definitely not. Things are going to get really bad.”
