Trump’s original comments highlighted his belief that the Democrats are more dangerous than outside threats like Russia or China. “We have China, we have Russia, and with a smart president, those countries can be dealt with,” Trump said. “But the real problem is the people here—like Pelosi and others. They’re sick and evil.”
Graham backed this sentiment, explaining that Democrats are pushing for changes that could, in his words, “fundamentally transform” the country. He raised concerns about their plans to expand the Supreme Court from nine to thirteen justices and efforts to get rid of the Electoral College, which decides presidential elections. “They want to make Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico states,” Graham said. “Their agenda is extreme, no question about it.”
The senator also took a moment to defend Trump’s sometimes inflammatory rhetoric by pointing to violence against the former president. Graham recalled, “They tried to shoot him. One guy hit him in the ear. We were lucky they didn’t take him out. And just a week later, someone else tried to do it again.”
Graham argued that the policies Democrats support would turn the United States “upside down.” He warned, “These ideas go against who we are as a nation. They change everything that makes America what it is, and we have to stop it.”
The senator ended by saying the only way to fight back against these changes is through elections. “We’re going to stop this radical agenda at the ballot box,” Graham declared confidently.
