Vance Excluded from Pittsburgh Restaurant Campaign; Harris Welcomed

(PatriotNews.net) – Sen. JD Vance’s campaign faced an unexpected hurdle during a stop in Pennsylvania when they were asked to leave a popular restaurant. Vance, the vice presidential candidate, had planned to meet supporters at Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar in North Versailles, but things didn’t go as expected.

According to a source close to the campaign, the restaurant knew about the planned visit, but when Vance arrived on Saturday, an employee stopped him and his team at the door. The staff told the campaign this wasn’t a “campaign stop” and that Vance was “not allowed in.” Things escalated quickly when the manager even threatened to call the police if they didn’t leave.

Supporters who were already inside the restaurant were not happy. They booed as the Vance campaign was escorted out. In contrast, just a month earlier, the same restaurant chain had allowed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s campaign to hold an event at one of their locations without any issues.

Despite the rocky reception, Vance didn’t let it ruin the day. He met with his supporters outside the restaurant, shaking hands and posing for photos. The campaign even paid for everyone’s food inside and left a generous tip. Vance joked with the crowd, saying, “No taxes on tips,” a nod to a Trump proposal.

Interestingly, the same restaurant chain had closed its doors early for Harris’ visit in August. Locals were asked to leave so that Harris and her team could have a private event. Some Pittsburgh diners weren’t too happy about that, with one man recalling how the bartender suddenly announced “last call” when it was still early afternoon.

Primanti Bros. later issued a statement saying that Vance’s visit had caught them off guard, causing some confusion among staff. However, they emphasized that Vance and his team were able to engage with patrons both inside and outside the restaurant after the situation was cleared up.

It was a day full of surprises, but Vance’s campaign carried on with its message.
