Kamala Harris May Distance Herself from Biden’s Record, Report Says

(PatriotNews.net) – Vice President Kamala Harris is in a tough spot as she tries to figure out how much distance to put between herself and President Joe Biden in the final weeks before the 2024 election. Her biggest challenge? She can’t easily separate herself from Biden without raising questions about the policies they’ve worked on together.

Biden has made it clear that Harris has been a key part of everything his administration has done. “We’re on the same page,” Biden said recently. “She helped pass all the laws and was a major player in everything we’ve done.”

Harris, however, is facing a tricky situation. She knows that many Americans are unhappy with how the administration has handled crime, inflation, and border security. She can’t run away from those problems without looking like she’s criticizing her own work as vice president. But, at the same time, she has to highlight the administration’s successes to show why she’s a good candidate.

With just weeks left before Election Day, her aides are trying to figure out how much space she can create between herself and Biden. They want her to be loyal to Biden, but they also want her to win. Harris plans to lean on Biden in key moments, like when he campaigns in important battleground states like Pennsylvania. However, some on her team aren’t too upset that Biden will be out of the country for a week in October.

Biden recently surprised Harris’ campaign by showing up in the White House briefing room to talk about the administration’s accomplishments, like helping avoid violence in the Middle East and reporting strong job numbers. This appearance wasn’t coordinated with Harris’ campaign, adding to the tensions.

Adding to the strain, Biden has said in the past that he’s handed over major responsibilities to Harris, including both foreign and domestic policies. Some believe that Biden is frustrated with how Harris has distanced herself from their joint record.
