(PatriotNews.net) – Republican vice presidential candidate Senator JD Vance has strongly criticized the Biden-Harris administration for making a deal with three September 11, 2001, terrorists, allowing them to avoid the death penalty.
A spokesperson for the Office of Military Commissions (OMC) confirmed that they had reached pre-trial agreements with the defendants: Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi. These three alleged al-Qaeda terrorists have been held at Guantánamo Bay since 2003.
“In exchange for removing the death penalty, these three accused have agreed to plead guilty to all the charges, including the murder of the 2,976 people listed in the charge sheet,” said a letter signed by Rear Adm. Aaron C. Rugh, the chief OMC prosecutor. This news has upset many of the families of the September 11 victims, as well as JD Vance, who is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
“We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them,” Trump’s vice presidential pick said to a crowd of supporters in Glendale, Arizona, shortly after hearing the news.
“Just today, I heard that the Biden-Harris Department of Justice cut a deal with al-Qaeda terrorist Khalid Sheik Mohammed to avoid the death penalty,” Vance continued. “As someone who enlisted in the Marines to serve after 9/11, that is ridiculous, but it’s not surprising.”
Vance went on to criticize President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, although he mistakenly referred to the Department of Justice as the prosecuting agency:
“Just think about where we are now: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have used the Department of Justice to go after their political opponents, but they’re making deals with 9/11 terrorists. We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them.”
Vance also targeted Vice President Harris for appearing to use a southern accent when speaking at a campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia, saying, “Kamala Harris is a phony who changes her accent to fit her audience.”
“Now, what’s that all about? Kamala Harris grew up in Canada. They don’t talk like that in Vancouver or Quebec or wherever she’s from. Doesn’t matter,” he added. “It’s the same liberal policies, just with a different accent for whoever she’s talking to.”
