(PatriotNews.net) – On September 7, police in Irondequoit, New York, arrested Julio Cesar Pimentel-Soriano, a 34-year-old man from the Dominican Republic, in connection with the murder of a family of four. The victims were Fraime Ubaldo, 30, Marangely Moreno-Santiago, 26, and their two children, Evangeline, 4, and Sebastian, 2. The family was found dead in their home on Knapp Street on August 31.
Irondequoit Police Chief Scott Peters described the scene as one of the worst he had ever witnessed in his 32 years on the job. Authorities believe Pimentel-Soriano, who is also wanted for a murder in his home country from 2019, was responsible for the killings.
The family’s bodies were discovered in the basement after firefighters arrived to put out several fires at the home. After further investigation, it was determined that the deaths were not caused by the fire.
Pimentel-Soriano had reportedly entered the United States illegally through Puerto Rico, where he used fake identification to travel to the mainland. The police department shared this information on social media, noting that he had been in the country illegally for some time.
Local officials expressed their condolences to the victims’ family and neighbors. Irondequoit Town Supervisor Andrae Evans assured the community that all necessary resources would be provided to the police to bring those responsible to justice.
A vigil was held at the family’s home in the days following the murders, with community members leaving stuffed animals and photos in memory of the victims.
The police have stated that while they have made the arrest, their investigation is still ongoing, and more information will be shared as the case develops. They are committed to seeking justice for the family and ensuring that such a tragedy does not happen again.
