Democrat Operative Caught in Ballot Tampering Scandal

(PatriotNews.net) – A recently released video from Fox News shows a Democrat operative tampering with a ballot drop box in Montana, raising concerns about election security. The individual, Laszlo Gendler, was captured on surveillance footage appearing to tug at the box, as if trying to remove it from the wall.

According to OpenSecrets.org, Gendler has been paid by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC). The DSCC is actively supporting Senator Jon Tester in his tight race against Republican candidate Tim Sheehy, aiming to protect Tester’s seat.

Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen’s office confirmed that the Glacier County election administrator reported the incident after reviewing the footage. Richie Melby, Jacobsen’s communications director, said: “The video shows clear signs of tampering. Our office contacted the local election administrator, who identified the man in the footage as Laszlo Gendler. The incident has been handed over to Glacier County law enforcement.” He added that while the box wasn’t removed, the behavior was “suspicious and concerning.”

Crystal R. Cole, Glacier County’s election administrator, gave more details in an email to the Secretary of State’s office. She explained that two official ballot drop boxes are placed under 24/7 surveillance—one in Browning and another at the county’s detention center entrance. On October 20, at 10:25 a.m., Gendler was caught on camera at the Browning location.

When Cole called Gendler to ask why he was at the drop box, he claimed someone from the Montana Democratic Party had sent him to “check the security” of the box. However, Cole said the party gave no advance notice to the elections office about this visit. As a result, Gendler’s actions appeared to be tampering.

The political stakes are high in Montana. An October poll from The New York Times and Siena shows Sheehy leading Tester 52% to 44%. Other recent polls also suggest Sheehy holds a steady lead by six to eight points. With Republicans just two seats away from regaining control of the Senate, every race counts—especially in a tight contest like this one, which could influence key votes, including future Supreme Court nominations.

This incident has only added fuel to an already heated election season, leaving many voters to wonder: Was this just a misunderstanding, or something more deliberate?
