In North Carolina, two illegal immigrants from Mexico were charged with the murder of a sheriff’s deputy. These men had evaded authorities for years before committing the crime.
Other cases include the September arrest of Warley Neto, a Brazilian man charged with raping a minor in Massachusetts after entering the U.S. illegally in 2018. In Colorado, police arrested several Venezuelan nationals involved in a gang-related shooting. These individuals had crossed the border illegally in 2022 and 2023.
These stories illustrate the tragic consequences of the ongoing border crisis. Families who’ve lost loved ones are demanding stronger immigration enforcement, while many Americans question how the government can protect its citizens without securing the border.
